My boyfriend grew up on Oahu and when we visited last this was the first place we stopped after landing. It was minutes from the airport and around the block from our car rental place. It is located in a strip mall with various other restaurants and the parking lot looked crowded for a Saturday afternoon.
I had the kalbi beef, and it was delicious. The portions are large and so good. The menu is vast and you can get so many combinations. Inside they have pictures of nearly everything on the menu so it does help with your decision making.
Service is at the counter and they bring your food to you once prepared. It's a great mom and pop joint to dine in for a quick meal and clearly a local favorite if you want some Korean BBQ. -

Great service, all food good but the one I always order is spicy pork n plus the extra amenities the wife n husband give you it's unreal. Need to checking it out if you driving passed the airport.

Awesome hole in the wall local restaurant! I been craving meat jun and local grinds when I came to visit. This was a last minute decision since I went to the area to go to Joe's Grill Express. I figured, why not since I saw the exterior photos of food and it looked delicious.
Hoooolllyyyyy Moolllleeyyyy....so glad I stopped in. We got the meat jun with kalbi and hot chicken combo. This was exactly what i was craving and it hit the spot. I don't like my meat jun chewy, which I learned after trying another korean bbq, so this one was easier to chew.
I ordered no rice and they added extra sprouts and cabbage for me which i devoured. The kim chee, was exactly like whatother yelpers said, not much flavor but I didn't care because the other sides made up for it. I also added more of the spicy sauce they have on table to it.
The rice is a scoop and a half but not a big deal since the sides helped offset it. The mac salad was actually pretty good too. I was pleasantly surprised.
We loved the taste of the kalbi and chicken, you can tell they marinated the meat for days. Every bite had so much flavor which is exactly how marinated meat should be.
We ended up ordering the special plate to go to eat on our flight. Went through security easily since there were no liquids.
Only downside was no public bathroom so I didn't drink much water because I didn't want to risk having to go to the bathroom.
This is your hole in the wall restaurant. Amazing taste, local mom and pop cooking and serving, and tiny place.
Another plus, our rental car place was next door.
Don't be alarmed by the exterior, it's clean on the inside. And the time i was there, there were many locals having takeout or dining in.
Check this place out! You won't be disappointed. -

First stop off the plane! Couldn't wait to get Hawaiian BBQ and this is the place to go! Awesome food, great friendly service and at a really great price. Their chicken, rice and macaroni salad are all amazing!

So, first time I've ever eaten at this place. And the taste of the food was great! The fish jun was also sliced on the thinner side, but still good. Unlike other Korean restaurants, you can't choose your sides, and our take out plate came with about a tablespoon size of cabbage Kimchee, cabbage, sprouts, Mac salad, and one and a half scoops rice. The portion size was okay, but the plate was well over $12. The owners are very nice and work hard, and I was able to see the kitchen and looks like they handle their food and ingredients carefully. They do take credit card or cash. They have 5 tables available for indoor dining and a/c. I would definitely come here again.
